flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) Fusing rocking guitar solos, death/doomy downtempo riffs, and sudden explosions of post-hardcore vocals, Death Will Tremble may be one of the most unconventional metal bands I have heard this year. It is a beacon calling for creativity and free expression from the depths of the underground. Full review here: metaltrenches.com/reviews/unconventional-517

Sunset 05:50
Still my heart with your silence, leave me gasping for air. Well, I've been away for a long time, hoping that I'd find you there. Grinding your teeth like an addict awaiting the cause and the cure. Serenading yourself in the static, a misery refined and rehearsed. But tonight you'll stand with your back to the wall. Que sera, sera. I know what has to be done. Well you wanted a martyr, I've got a flag you can burn. Well you wanted a martyr, here's a flag you can burn. Still my heart. Leave me gasping for air. Well you wanted a martyr, well you wanted a martyr. The hands of our betrayers tighten fast around our necks and speak of love. The tongues of our betrayers scream hallowed be the lines and blood we've drawn. The hands of our betrayers tighten fast around our necks and speak of love. The tongues of our betrayers scream look at what we've done- at what we've done. What I've done. The hands of our betrayers tighten fast around our necks and speak of love. Speak of love.

Requiem 06:50
Slowly life strips away, taking all that it can.  Slowly time strips away everything, taking all that it can from you.  Taking all.  We have suffered the whole of existence, inching closer to death every day. Knowing nothing of passion and purpose, painting walls with a violent decay.  Maybe someday they'll find us in pieces, buried beneath our elaborate displays. Maybe someday they'll find us in pieces, beneath the remains.  Slowly life strips away, taking all that it can. Slowly time strips away everything, taking all that it can from you.  History will not remember the quiet, the meek and the humble, the modest and safe. They will speak of the cowards and conquerors, make immortal their glory and shame. And the look in your eyes tells me something is hidden inside that you don't want to say- if you're in this alone, then I'm in this alone, and I'm walking away.  As the last of my breath leaves my lungs- like the memory of strength from my limbs- let me lie in the quiet beside you. Let me lie in the quiet beside them. Let me lie in the quiet beside you. Let me lie in the quiet beside them.

Greedy fingers grasping for something worth holding on to. Eyes grow wide. Bleeding hearts bound by broken minds.  Cowards masquerading as kings.  Time won't heal what you can't learn to live with casting shadows. I've grown tired. Why can't you let what's sleeping lie?  Cowards masquerading as kings.  This isn't living, no, this is existing.  Relentlessly giving myself to the night as a sacrifice.  All I am is a mirror of what I despise.  I give up.

Mona 06:16
I give up.  And they called out her name as she cowered in fear and disgrace. I think, I know, we are one and the same.  And I prayed aloud to a god that I knew could never exist, if the ones who are forced to forgive are the same who can never forget.  And they called out her name as she cowered in fear and disgrace. I think, I know, we are one and the same.  Was she thinking of me, as she cowered in fear and disgrace? I think, I know, we are one and the same. I was thinking of her, as I cowered in fear and disgrace. I think, I know, we are one and the same.  Greedy fingers grasping for the promise of a pulse- as if the wasted years she'd suffered through in silence weren't enough. They never knew you like I did. They never took the time to look. They never knew you like I did. They never took the time.  Oh the cost of your glory and shame, all the scars and the lines in your face. All the secrets that you couldn't keep, all the promises they never made.  And I prayed aloud to a god that I knew could never exist, if the ones who are forced to forgive, are the same who can never forget.  Oh the cost of your glory and shame, all the scars and the lines in your face. All the secrets that you couldn't keep, all the promises they never made.  And I prayed aloud to a god that I knew could never exist, if the ones who are forced to forgive, are the same who can never forget.

What Becomes 07:13
I know it's not been easy on you. My love, this won't be easy for me.   What becomes of a good man, when he breaks- when he no longer bends?  What becomes of a good man, when his circle is severed again? And again. And again.  I know it's not been easy on you. My love, this won't be easy for me. .  What becomes of a good man, when he breaks- when he no longer bends?  What becomes of a good man, when his circle is severed again? And again. And again.  All that's left is what hasn't been said, and a man that will die with regrets. Are you there? Are you there? Are you there? All that's left is what she couldn't say, as she presses her lips to his grave. Are you there? Are you there? Are you there?

Gallows 09:15
Long are the nights of decadence and despair and denial, but I've perfected the art of feeling nothing at all.  Uncertain, apathetic and waiting for change. Doing nothing at all. Nothing at all.  And you beg for a savior, though there's nothing to save.  Still you're haunted by someone that you never became.  We become who we are. We wanted more than the gods were prepared to relinquish, so we suffered the fate of a thousand before.  The hopeless wear the masks of the former romantics, and linger now in disgust at what they might have become.  Contemptible and complacent, we've surrendered ourselves.  And we drank of the water though they'd poisoned the well.  Still we beg for a savior, though there's nothing to save. Still we're haunted by someone that we never became.  We become who we are. We become who we always were.  However heavy the crown, heavier still is the heart of the king.  However long is the night, longer still is the day that it brings.  Our moment is gone.  Our moment is gone.  We become who we are. We become who we always were.  We become who we are. We become who we always were.  And we waited for something to save us, whispered softly our final farewells. Beautiful is the path to the gallows, trusted everyone else but ourselves.  Fleeting thoughts, empty bottles, and embers- we screamed all the words too important to whisper. This is the night! Now is the time! We are the gods that we never could find. These are the moments composed of surrender and I can't remember the last time that I felt alive. But for here, but for now, I am fine.
